I didn't love this as much as I wanted to... but that could be a result of having the plague while reading it.
Don't get me wrong, I LOVED reading more about these characters. I LOVED getting to see inside Nikolai's head, inside Zoya's (and NINA!!!) but I felt like the plot itself just dragged a little. I'm still keen to see what happens next - but in many ways this felt like such a set-up book. Reintroducing the characters, setting the stage for what is going to happen with this magic, this world, these people I adore... in book 2. Now I just need to wait...
