So, this ended up being my first Cormac McCarthy, and I read this in parallel with The Passenger. Part of why I ended up picking this up was because I was really interested in the idea of a novel as nothing but the conversations between patient and therapist. Reading this in parallel with The Passenger and realizing that this novel is about the sister who lurks just at the edge of the pages there gets to be a bit fuller explored here is fantastic. Put it this way - this definitely has me interested in reading more of him.
