Darkness, Be My Friend by John Marsden

4.0

We find out what happened to Corrie in this book. Logically, it's the only thing that could have happened to her but that still doesn't prepare you for it.

It's at this point in the book that Marsden really slips back into his normal flow. It's at this point that the reading becomes easier. I wanted to know what was happening at this point. I wasn't reading just to progress the series. It made a huge difference. The amount of pages that took me months to read took merely an hour or two after this point.

I love the way the characters have grown. We see and feel the effects of the war on them. It's so much more fleshed out. I love this series. I missed the big bang but the end of this book suited me fine.

I can't wait to start the next one!
