The Weight of Blood by Tiffany D. Jackson

challenging dark emotional medium-paced
  • Plot- or character-driven? A mix
  • Strong character development? No
  • Loveable characters? It's complicated
  • Diverse cast of characters? Yes
  • Flaws of characters a main focus? Yes

3.0

if this didn't have various multiple points of view (that truly didn't add anything because none of the characters were anything but the one-dimensional segments they were supposed to be e.g. mean rich girl, secretly nice but everything in his life is controlled by those around him guy etc etc), i think i'd have liked it a lot more.

the podcast vibe could have worked better if it wasn't so random and choppy, and ultimately getting in the way of the tension that had been created in the previous scene.
