The main part of the book revolved around Brennan and Reese’s relationship that was practically impossible. Brennan is the new President of the United States and Reese is the head of his secret service protection detail. It was sad seeing how lonely Brennan was in the beginning of the book and how he forfeited his desires for his political aspirations of a better world.
Their connection was instantaneous and very strong. I loved seeing their friendship develop at first through small coffee rendez-vous in the morning, going running and exchanging texts. Then came the romance that was filled with love and passion. They went through many challenges but came out together at the end.
There were so many plot twists in the book I did not see coming
