Home Again by Kristin Hannah

2.0

1.5 stars rounded up because I’m in a good mood. Too syrupy, unrealistic, simple, and predictable for me. The excessive detail and needless repetition was nauseating. Read like a romance novel, not my thing. None of the characters were believable. Two of the main characters are a cardiologist and a priest, and as a nurse who worked on a cardiac unit and mother of a priest I was probably too critical. Kristin Hannah’s writing definitely evolved and improved with her later books. I can’t believe I finished it. My toxic trait is an inability to stop reading a book no matter how bad it is. Simply awful, don’t waste your time on this one.
