Jennifer Hartmann never disappoints - I adored this book.
The characters are all real, flawed, and loveable. Syd and Oliver are adorable and I am a sucker for childhood friendships. Syd was lovely and wonderfully patient with Oliver when he needed it, and I loved seeing him develop his sense of humour and interests as an adult for the first time.
The author also does a great job in connecting the outside characters into the plot and I found myself rooting for Syd’s sister’s wellbeing, loving her friendship with Gabe, thrilled to see Tabitha as part of the plot, and overall being so immersed into this world. Read this all in one sitting and could not put down.
