It is interesting to me so far that Zou is considered its own arc as it mostly seems to exist to set up Whole Cake Island and begin establishing Sanji's backstory. The framing of the arc through the lens of the half of the crew that missed the action made the arc feel fresh and allowed it to better support the exposition it is establishing. Though I am still a bit creeped out by the designs of the female minks, I love the way Nekomamushi and Inuarashi look and the worldbuilding we got for the culture of Zou was fairly interesting. Still, I am really looking forward to getting through it and to Whole Cake Island.
