People We Meet on Vacation by Emily Henry
5.0
What more can be said about this “When Harry Met Sally” meets “The Before Trilogy” (you know, the movies with Ethan Hawke and Julie Delpy wandering around cities) than that it is an extremely likable book.
I think that most people have had this kind of friend at least once in their lives, but few of us are lucky enough to get this kind of happy ending. What’s amazing about this story is that just like Emily’s previous book, Beach Read, the characters feel real, their issues are relatable and as it often happens in life, timing is everything.
It’s a truly adorable book which I recommend if you feel like you need a pick-me-up because life feels like too much at the moment. Who knows, maybe it will even inspire your next trip in the post-lockdown world?
