Death's Obsession
by Avina St. Graves
Avina, thank you for crafting such a powerful and moving story of Lilith's journey towards healing.
Observing Lilith dealing with the sorrow, loss, and guilt was absolutely devastating. I found myself crying over twice when reading both the beta and arc editions.
Lilith's struggle to come to terms with the traumatic experience and feeling isolated in the world after losing everyone she loved was truly heartbreaking. The death of her twin, her other half, in a gruesome accident had a profound emotional and mental impact on Lilith. Despite her pain, she found it difficult to confide in anyone or seek comfort. Although she had a healthy relationship with her boyfriend, the accident caused a rift between them, resulting in a toxic relationship.
Ever since the accident, Lilith had a stalker named Letum who would leave her letters, gifts, and lilies, and even helped her financially. He was always there for her, invading her thoughts and dreams. Despite his presence being unsettling, Letum was gentle, patient, and caring towards Lilith when she needed him the most. He allowed her to grieve and cope with her loss in her own way, giving her the space she needed to find herself. What began as a few souvenirs gradually turned into a blossoming love.
Although Lilith did not fully heal from her grief and trauma, she managed to survive and accept life one step at a time. With Letum by her side, she felt empowered to face any challenges that came her way.
If you're interested in a short novella about a love story involving a stalker, poetry, letters, gifts, and a shadow daddy, then this is the perfect read for you.
