this was a good book to introduce someone to feminism. it felt a little dated to me. it was rooted in a binary of gender. Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie took the time to focus on the manly or girly traits of women, which felt off in a text all about wanting equality. i really enjoyed the sections where she focused on her personal experiences. she drew you in and it felt relatable. i will always have a pet peeve when those who haven't researched a scientific notion, use it in metaphors.
