I've wanted to read The Song of Achilles for a while but decided to wait for some of the hype to die down; I am glad I waited because it made me appreciate this book all the more!
The Song of Achilles was a stunning retelling of the relationship between Patroclus and Achilles; watching their relationship grow was beautiful. I took my time reading this story; to savour every moment. The Song of Achilles is a story that will be hard to let go of.
My heart broke at the end. Although I was already aware of the fates of Patroclus and Achilles, it didn't hurt any less.
