okay my thoughts on icebreaker after finishing it seconds ago:

- 1st - halfway through i started picturing everything in the same house or set up as the deal. then i literally couldn’t shake the feeling. enemies to lovers, she doesn’t like hockey, house full of hockey players who love her, best friend or skating partner who’s shitty to her, cooking meals for all the hockey players, hockey player having shitty dad, like it was just all so similar

- 2nd - wtf was her relationship with ryan? and why did he just like fall out of the plot completely in the second half??? there’s no way that situation would ever happen in real life. and i know that sometimes that’s the point in a romance novel but it was just too far fetched. and it was odd how she was fucking him but also wanting him to date olivia. that was just odd to me.

- 3rd - wtf was her relationship with henry?!?!? like why did it feel like they were dating? and why did she constantly make jokes about being with him if things went wrong with nathan? and why was nathan so protective over LITERALLY anyone else but him? like a man can’t look in her direction but she can tell henry she loves him and somehow that’s okay? i love nathan don’t get me wrong but fucking weird.

overall a super cute love story and i can definitely see why some people hype this up so much because the chemistry is undeniable and the spicy scenes are 10/10. but i think it was just way too similar to the deal for my liking. almost like it was too cliche. nathan is still a daddy though
