Truly's Biker by Misty Walker

5.0

Hot damn. This book was dark, and sweet, and brutal, and emotional. It was everything.

“She’s got her head in the clouds, and I have mine rooted in dark reality. I’d never tell her that, though. I like her floating above me.”

Falling in love at eight years old to her late father’s brother in combat, Truly knew Roch was hers the moment he rode his bike in their lives and never stopped.

Roch. He’s gone through hell and back. Things that we as readers probably don’t know much about nor want to explore the details when our men in uniform go MIA and captured by the enemy.
“When you’ve been violated in every way possible, human contact becomes something that makes your skin crawl. But ever since she was a little girl, holding my hand and dragging me all over the place, Truly has been the exception.”

We meet Roch in book one. He’s known for being a recluse. Man of very few words, and rescues dogs.
In book two, we realize these dogs are coming from Truly and her mother who own a Veterinarian Office and somehow got Roch to rescue the unwanted Pit Bulls and a tiny Chihuahua, Karen. The Queen of the pack.

Roch always checked up on Truly throughout her life growing up. When her mom didn’t know where she was, she called Roch and he dropped everything he was doing to find her and being her home.

Truly is now 19. Truly is no longer hiding her feelings for Roch anymore. Truly befriends his club brothers and weasels her way into everyone’s hearts.

Roch has such conflicted feelings and emotions. This is his dead best friends daughter. He couldn’t save him and he can’t have her involved in his life and risk it too.
But hey, this is a love story and Truly and Roch?! They’re fucking fated.
“I’m going to say one thing and one thing only,” she starts. “I love you, William Pellman. I loved you as a dumb kid with a crush, I loved you as an angsty teenager with a fantasy, and I love you as a woman with a dream of being your forever.”

This is a love story of a man who deserves so much love. And this book got me teary eyed a few times because you can’t help but root for this couple despite the “tabooness” of it all.

Of course, the drama from book one bleeds into book two and in true fashion, this book has all the drama, some backstabbing, blood, and torture. It’s awesome.

“I need to feel my hands around someone’s throat and squeeze until their eyes bulge. I need to slice a million cuts into someone and watch them bleed out. I need to take out all the shit on someone who doesn’t deserve to live on this earth any longer.”

This book has an HEA with an epilogue that shows you more of who’s book will be the next one! I cannot wait!!
