I am currently making my way through a PKD backlog and I am happy to say I quite enjoyed this one. I knew nothing about this book and went into it blind, which is how I like going into most books (sometimes descriptions can really spoil the plot), and I really enjoyed the experience! The writing felt similar to A Scanner Darkly in that you kind of feel like a fly on the wall, listening to very mundane, normal conversations between friends/family members. Sometimes this style can drone on a bit, but for me it really worked in this book. I thought the concept was original and fascinating, and the explanation for it all at the end was pretty believable. Overall, a very trippy book that did a good job explaining everything so I wasn't totally lost.
