The Patient Man by Joy Ellis

4.0

So, in one of my reviews of the earlier books in the series, I mentioned how Joy Ellis was always able to still bring the readers back into the light even after things took a darker turn.
And in the sixth instalment of the Jackman and Evans series they certainly did. An old adversary returns, a town is crippled with fear, and of course our heroes are assaulted both physically and psychologically.
One of the ending quotes described my experience with pinpoint accuracy.

“It's like emerging from some terrible nightmare, some awful dark and dangerous place and feeling the sun in your face again”

This was a 4 stars for me. I really liked it.
