I read the blurb for this book and bought it thinking it was a dark mafia romance. It’s not. It’s a dark college romance, and I have a great antipathy towards college romance. The characters are just too young and immature. While some of the characters are in mafia families, mafia has almost nothing to do with the plot. The entire book can be summed up as
virgin is targeted by aggressive mean guy and disturbed that him being mean to her turns her on.
The end. It’s tedious in the extreme. Also, the characters are both American and British, and when the Americans try to do a British accent and the Brits try to do an American accent, it’s beyond terrible. Sebastian York is usually prettn decent, but he should be contractually prohibited from ever doing a British accent.
