The Yellow Wall-Paper by Charlotte Perkins Gilman

5.0

i bought my copy of this book back in 2019 when i was studying abroad in oxford and i recently rediscovered it covered in dust on my shelf. i’m extremely interested in perceptions of “mad” heroines in literature, and when i discuss my thesis with people they ALWAYS bring up this novella. now that i’ve finally finished my thesis i decided to give it a read, otherwise i think i would have become too preoccupied with it and strayed away from my original argument lol. also, a very appropriate read given the current state of women’s reproductive rights being threatened in this country.
