did i like this book, yes. did i enjoy this book, i don’t think so. i thought this would be more silly office politics, and maybe it’s on me for not looking deeper into it; but the main character’s anxiety was extremely difficult to read through for someone else who also has anxiety that is heightened in the workplace. i do think this book helped me reflect on my own mental health, especially in relation to my job and recognize behaviors/thoughts/feelings i should work on in therapy… but that’s not why i picked this book up. i don’t think i would recommend this book to someone with anxiety unless they think it would be meditative for them and are aware of the subject matter. for me this book was great but hard to read at multiple points. the author nails anxiety almost too well. aside from that though, i did feel like the ending was too rushed and not very rewarding or complete after everything. would’ve liked more meat at the end.
