The Forever War by Joe Haldeman

5.0

Joe Haldeman shows us the professional soldier of the future in William Mandela. He's tough, he's well-equipped, and it sucks to be him. This is a grim but intelligent reminder of war from the grunt's point of view, extrapolating some technology ideas and how they might apply against alien enemies. Some things change, some don't. Great book, must-read for serious SF fans.
