I fully expected to love Ariadne and it was alright. Not WOW but alright. Nothing too bad that I disagreed with. Reading Ariadne's (and Phaedra)’s stories were interesting, as the original mythology itself is tragically interesting.
I’m gonna admit tho there were some parts where I glazed over because it was slightly dull.
From the beginning to the end there were reflections on how heroes built their fame and women paid the price, but I kept waiting for a moment where Ariadne actually did something that punched through the glass wall, and alas that moment didn’t come.
One thing is for sure, if you don’t want to get married, I’d recommend reading this because it definitely gives all the variations of disappointing marriage experiences
