mihoriel 's review for:
Fifty Shades Trilogy
by E.L. James
Before I address these books, yes i am aware it all started out as Twilight fanfiction. I understand the plot, or lack thereof, in Twilight. It's unfair judgment to compare the two considering people argue that Twilight is just "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" fanfiction. Fanfiction or not, I still enjoyed it. On to the review:
Mommy porn, yes, but [a:E.L. James|4725841|E.L. James|http://photo.goodreads.com/authors/1308409727p2/4725841.jpg] weaves a story of kinky f*ckery and love that two people, Mr. Christian Grey and Ms. Anastacia Steele, share. The BDSM elements, yes, is what first captured my attention. However, by the end of reading the first book, I was more interested in the relationship. The relationship became the reason I stuck through the second and third because I became more interested in the development of both the main characters. Grey's troubled past and Steele's acceptance and how they worked through it had me cheering for the couple by the first couple of chapters in the second book. (see status updates for more examples of this).
User Sandy wrote "This story is about addressing the truth, acknowledging responsibility, the loss of power and control, and the fight to gain it all back." I 100% agree; I love it's Steele that eventually gives Grey that peace. As annoying as her inner dialogues can be, I find her the more powerful character. This surprise is what had me hooked.

Personally, like every other person who read this in secret, I took notes of what I liked and didn't liked.User Sandy wrote "This story is about addressing the truth, acknowledging responsibility, the loss of power and control, and the fight to gain it all back."
