Piercing the Darkness by Frank E. Peretti
3.0
Piercing the Darkness is a great continuation of Peretti's This Present Darkness as it interweaves the first book with this book. The writing was perfectly engaging and the action throughout the story did not disappoint.
I enjoyed the mingling of dramatic irony that Peretti made present throughout the entirety of the book, without leaving too much known to the reader. I also loved the change in perspectives throughout the chapters, bouncing between different characters as well as between humans and spirits.
As a Christin, I enjoy that this book shines a light on the spiritual warfare that is happening around us without us even knowing it. By putting it into a more actionable and entertaining story, Peretti is able to create a great book for people of all interests and ages.
