I have not read Mary Shelley's Frankenstein, but it is sitting on my book shelf with 5000 (slight exaggeration) other books waiting to be read.
I found this book interesting, it kept my interest right to the very end. I loved the Alchemy aspects of it and how you can see Victor getting more and more entwined in the darkness of it all.
Being the first book in the series there is some back story, and information fill ins that will certainly help with any future "The Apprenticeship of Victor Frankenstein" novels.
I look forward to reading other books by this author.
