This is not romantasy as advertised. It’s really a small fantasy that’s basically zoo oriented fiction with a little romance at the end. But the zoo is filled with magical creatures so it IS fantasy. 

VERY slow to start but picked up steam about 150 pages in. Not bad at all, just not quite what I was looking for either.
