Dirty Curve
by Meagan Brandy
Yeah, I really liked this one. It pulled at my heart strings, made me ache, and gave me hope.
Tobias is THE pitcher and he's got a huge head on his shoulders. He is used to getting what he wants. Sometimes the tings he wants can be a bit of a stretch, but he knows his coach will always make it happen. And his coach is someone he looks up to very much. This man basically saved him from a home that constantly disregarded him and because of this, Tobias never felt good enough. All of that changed when coach gave him the hope and drive he needed. So when he falls behind academically and his coach signs him up for tutoring, Tobias does what he's told.
Meyer is a struggling student, but she's smart as hell. So smart that she is in charge of tutoring many students. However, there is one student she doesn't want to tutor.. and that's Tobias. He's an asshole. He's cocky. But above all, he's hot as fuck.
Tobias requires a lot of Meyer's time, and it's time that she doesn't have to give. She is stretched way too thin. But something is forcing her on this path. She hassles around and pushes Tobias as far away as she can, but he wants her and chances her anyways.
As the two spend more time together, feelings start to develop. But Meyer's knows nothing can go further.
Will this thing over her head be the end of their friendship and the end of them?
I loved Tobias and Meyers. I loved their story and how everything developed and I especially loved the twist in this. His interactions with Bailey, Meyer's daughter, literally made me want to curl in a ball and sob happy tears. (You can cue in the daddy issues here).
Truly an amazing book! This is my first by this author and I cannot wait to read more.
