I hadn’t realized that Scarlett and Julian would only be the main characters in Caraval, while Tella and Legend take over the rest of the series. To be honest, Tella annoyed me so much and Legend just felt so toxic, same with Jacks. The world building was still interesting, but it’s hard to get through when you don’t really care for the main characters.
