I’m so sad to say I couldn’t finish this book. This is the first of a high school bully romance series. I’ve read several series by CM before and loved them, I’m definitely a fan of hers, but I tried and tried and tried and just didn’t care for this book. I honestly kept finding myself checking my location hoping I was almost to the end. And I just felt like nothing happened the entire book. Maryne was an “okay” lead character, but nothing really stood out about her. And I didn’t understand her attraction towards the guys when they clearly talked to her about wanting other girls, and using her to make other girls jealous. I get this is a bully romance, I actually love the bully trope, but I saw absolutely nothing that would make me think these s characters liked each other even a tiny bit to be able to picture them together in future books. Idk, the characters just weren’t very likable. I saw no redeeming qualities. Again, I just felt like nothing major really happened at all in this book and it didn’t snag my attention so I won’t be continuing the series, unfortunately.

If you’re looking for a good bully series by CM, definitely check out her adamson all boys academy series!

UPDATE: I did end up continuing on a few months later due to so many positive recs. My overall review is on the final book
