I didn't really know what this was about when I checked it out but the moods in this one are really striking. During the times when Tillie is struggling, I really like how indistinguishable the background is, a  lot of the girls look the same and there isn't a lot of detail in the surroundings because the point is how she's feeling and she doesn't want to be there or care what's around her, while also caring a lot. I didn't realize this was a memoir and was surprised by it and really enjoyed it.
