Finished the book and proceeded to stare at my blank wall for a half hour. Truly a life changing read. Didn’t wanna finish the last part and epilogue because I didn’t want the book to be over. So much to think about— how to live with your choices, to view humans as human beings, what it’s like to grapple with constant feelings of unraveling and losing control. And there still is so much more. I need to reread this book in the future. The way he portrays Raskolnikov as such a raw, complex, real character really challenged me- what I felt I related to and how that was subverted. Forces you to examine yourself, the system, and humanity.
