i loved this book more than anything i’ve ever read until i didn’t. there are so many things i loved about it, however the things i didn’t love, sadly, ruined it. i think the way the characters were changed after the events that conspired definitely could’ve been showcased in ways other than incest 😐 but it’s so well written and i think donna tartt is insanely talented, but there are just a few flaws within this book that kept me from absolutely loving it and it’s really a shame. i sped through it, though, because i loved it so much (at first, less so in the end), and because its narrative pacing is perfect in my opinion. but yeah. just wish a few things were different so i could wholeheartedly say i love this book, but because of those few things i cant </3
