I listened to the audiobook version of this novel. Which did get confusing at first because there are a number of different characters and they all speak in alternating chapters. These chapters from the character's POV lay the groundwork by slowly doling out important background information.  And there were other chapters written in third person (some unknown narrator) that were set as "now" that followed the mysterious happenings at the actual wedding. Took a little bit to get it all straight when listening to the audiobook.

That being said, this is an engaging twisty mystery set at a wedding on a remote island off the coast of Ireland. You don't find out who the victim is until the very end. All the alternating chapters set the stage and as you get to know people your mind starts trying to connect the dots.

There are an awful lot of "coincidences" in this story. At one point I said out loud - you've got to be kidding.

Overall, a good audiobook. Very engaging. Surprise ending. 3.5 stars rounded up to 4.
