Lost Stars

forgot to update reading on this one, oops.. anyway i love this setup! feel like it'd be a lot more impactful if i didn't already know about the bramble thing but that's me having a propensity for spoilers and not the books fault lol
i love shadowpaw, and i get that bristle is necessary cause we need a thunderclan perspective for a tc-centric plot, but i /really/ don't get what rootpaw brings to the table apart from skyclan info because skyclan is new, but we got plenty of skyclan perspective in the last arc so what gives? what's his purpose other than to get saved by bristle? maybe he'll have a more important role in later books but as of right now i consider his POV chapters to be wholly unnecessary. solid 2 hits and 1 miss with our protags of the arc so far, felt like i was dragging myself through roots chapters to get to the stuff i wanted to actually read.
my one worry is that this is going to suffer the same way AVoS does, where bramble gets cured in book three and we're left with three more books of nothing. here's hoping!
