Ok, I think this may now be my favorite of this series so far. It touched on so many issues like fatphobia & bullying and how isolating those things can make a person feel- and how deep down a dark patch it could lead you. How important it is that every child feel loved and seen.
I also loved the twist with the Whitethorn Institute twist. I had a feeling something shady was going on there. The more I read, the more I got to feeling like it was more a conversion-therapy-esque situation instead of an actual school trying to help kids move on from their traumatizing other world adventures. I’m so glad Cora and friends got out, but I really hope they go back someday to overthrow “Whitethorn” and make it a better place for children who went to bad worlds. =(
Graphic: Bullying and Fatphobia
Moderate: Suicide
