The Witch's Heart by Genevieve Gornichec

2.0

If you enjoy reading about myths retold as someone's plain family life this is a book for you.
I made it to the end of the first chapter (~60%) and cannot read any more. The first 150-ish pages go on and on about her relationship issues, struggles with raising children and strained friendship. The Norse mythology part is Loki visiting and describing in brief sentences one of his mischiefs, which could very well be copy/pasted from any source.
Not enough integration of myth, not enough magic and special abbilities and not enough excitement to hold my interest.
If you liked Circe by Madeline Miller you will probably like this book, as it's about another low-to-non-existing special abbilities, magic-race descending woman living isolated and collecting herbs for poorly-defined potions as years go by.
