Inner Harbour by Nora Roberts

4.0

This is the third book of the Chesapeake Bay series and this is definitely a book you can't read as a standalone.

In this book, we're focused on Phillip as he meets Sybill, a travelling author who has a vested interest in Seth's wellbeing and the mystery of who Seth really is progresses nicely. One of the main plot points in this book is a big spoiler, one that I enjoyed coming across on my own so I'm going to be careful not to mention it in this review.

As with the other books in this series, I felt like the romance wasn't the strong point here but I adored the plot and the heroine in this book. Sybill has a lot of issues to go through
two of them being her love for Seth and her conflict over Gloria
but she works through them in a great character arc in the book. I also love how Cam, after not trusting her most of the book, sticks up for her when Phillip missteps. Phillip wasn't my favourite hero of this series, that goes to Ethan, but how much I loved the heroine more than makes up for it.

Definitely a 4 star book.
