The Funny Thing about Norman Foreman by Julietta Henderson

3.0

Through a road trip from Cornwall to the Edinburgh fringe, we see Sadie find her way out of a rut she had settled into and come to terms with events from her past, and we find 12 year old Norman demonstrating great resilience in the wake of the death of his best friend. New friends are made, obstacles are overcome and a criminal gang is beaten.
With narration from both Sadie and Norman it felt a bit drawn out to me. Frequent reminders of key points about the characters made it an easy read but the summing up at the end was heartwarming and inspiring.
