I've had this on my TBR for ages and really expected to like it. I love the sister dynamic that's set up in the beginning, and the trans-inclusive way of speaking about gender. However... I felt like the story meandered too much away from the driving tension, which was that one of them was going to turn into a swan. They basically were like "oh no!!! Anyway," and didn't do anything to try to stop it and were just baking with their cursed boyfriends and I was like ???? Where are we going with this? To the point where I was just turning pages not caring about them or wanting to know what happened. So that's when I decided to stop.
