Final Girls by Riley Sager
2.0

Yeah idk about this one Riley. Last quarter was fun, and I was eager to find out what happened at Pine Cottage despite guessing the outcome early on in the book. I think that’s a testament to Sager’s writing—he can keep me reading even when I don’t care too much for the characters and/or can figure out the twist(s). But the payoff of the ending wasn’t enough for me to justify the rest of an otherwise uneventful story. Maybe if this was my first Sager novel, I’d feel differently.

…although I do feel empowered to kick some ass if ever in a slasher film-esque situation. So thanks for that ig.
