And the Killer Is... by G.A. McKevett

2.75

The murder plotline and Brody plotlines are excellent. My biggest issue with this book (and, frankly, the whole series) is that McKevett continually refers to Dr. Liu as "an exotic beauty." I let it slide for the earlier ones due to when they were published, but this one was published in 2020. There's honestly no excuse. There's always an icky way she describes some of her characters, but this is the one that stands out the most.

I'm gonna finish the last one though, because I've worked my way through them.
