Mrs. Dalloway by Virginia Woolf

5.0

I knew from the first page I was going to love the stream-of-consciousness style of writing that this book is so acclaimed for. The intricacies of the characters themselves weaves this narrative into a cynical portrait of the company we keep and the masks we must wear. The dramatic and visual language Woolf uses make even the longest of party preparations feel like an indulgence into the human mind.
