Love, Hate & Hocus-Pocus by Karla M. Nashar

4.3/5⭐

Love, Hate & Hocus-Pocus has a classic premise. It's a love-hate relationship or more precisely enemies to lovers trope. It tells the story of Troy Mardian and Gadis Parasayu, colleagues at a pharmaceutical company who hates each other from the very first sight.

The story develops when they need to solve the company's case together. As time passed, they got together and started to get to know each other better. Especially when they share some strange experiences that have been happening to the two of them since meeting a gypsy at their company's anniversary party.

I love Karla's well written style with its light, fast-paced, and also witty dialogues between Troy and Gadis. Their chemistry is lovely and cute. It's a page-turner and a very fun read! I never get bored to reread this book. You can even read this book in one sitting! Even though the ending is a bit hanging, but it makes me want more!

Anyway, this is the first Karla's books I've read, maybe 11 years ago? I can't believe it's been so long! I still remember when my friend lent me the first version of this book and I love it instantly. And I even remember how happy I was when I got the books with Karla's autograph!

P.S. I sort of dislike how Kak Karla depicts Troy, which is seems too metrosexual, but I get the point tho.

FAVE QUOTES:

❝HATE not! For tonight is the Magical Night of LOVE. Then you'll find that for the thirteen days, dream and reality are nothing but ONE... So, BEWARE!! HATE not! But let's LOVE rule us tonight...❞
