Sharp Objects by Gillian Flynn
4.0
To be honest, it was pretty difficult for me to rate this book. But one thing for sure, I was instantly hooked to the writing style.
I personally like it more to find out about the characters' personalities through their own minds/feelings and inner conflicts rather than through the conversations. And as a psychological thriller book, Flynn did a very good job.
It was a little bit slow for me especially in the beginning, but I kept going as curiosity got the better of me.
This book was indeed disturbing, particularly character-wise. I didn't mind most of the creepy parts, though.
It was both a different and an interesting read for me as it was my first thriller book, but I'll make sure to check out more of Flynn's books in the near future.
