Starship Troopers by Robert A. Heinlein

1.0

I knew this book had a reputation for being fascist. What no one tools me was that this book was boring. If you aren’t a grandfather who missed when the History channel only showed documentaries about the genius of Rommel’s every minute troop movement or organizational schema, you’ll find about 50 percent of this book dry. If you don’t enjoy that same grandfather’s fearmongering about how scared he is to go outside because of sociopathic teenagers, all dressed up in philosophic drivel attempting syllogism, another 45 percent pf the book will be interminable. The last 5 percent is the closest thing Heinlein can write to am action scene, and as dreadfully written as it was, it came as welcome relief.
