I really wanted a more satisfying revenge-filled ending to this ghost story, but in the end the more realistic way this resolves is much better. A story narrated by a ghost who can see into people's minds (I know that sounds very cheesy, it is actually done very well and skillfully) allows for an omniscient narrator with a personal stake in the tale - I loved the various tracks this story went down, and the different characters whose stories are touched on.
