That quarter of a star less than Queen of Shadows as Aelin annoyed me a little but I got over it.
This book should come with a "I'm going to make your head and heart explode" warning because I was not prepared for this! I screamed out loud many occasion when making my way through this one.
I mean what the hell is that plot twist at the end?! ARE YOU KIDDING ME. AFTER ALL WE HAVE GONE THROUGH AND THIS IS HOW WE ARE BEING TOLD IT WILL END?!!!!!!!!!!

Lysandra - Love her and Aelin's friendship they got going on now... I think I'm annoyed at myself more that I didn't see any of this coming.
Dorian - Well aren't you a little saucy thing.
Manon - YES. MY GIRL. I LOVE YOU. Finally we got more of her in this installment and I was not disappointed.
Aedion - Anyone else feel like this has gone from him worshiping the ground Aelin walks on to pretty much him being pissed at her the whole book?
Elide - Now a badass mutha f**ker
Aelin - Still pretty selfish throughout this book, it all explains why at the end. But what she has put into motion here... Lordy-lord. I expect I will be stood staring into space for a very long time after the last book, or trying to scrape myself off the floor.
