The Will of the Many by James Islington

3.0

This was a good male written fantasy, I’m not sure how else to explain it.

Maybe cause of all the hype I expected more?

I’m so conflicted on this cause while it was intriguing and interesting, it was a slog to get through… I was bored yet, I was interested… Make it make sense.

The ending was pretty predictable with how it all comes together…. until… the very last epilogue, where we are thrown a curve ball, and it was just weird. I suppose I can see how people say it shocked them, but it just made me go wtf.

This was like reading a dystopian, sci-fi, high fantasy and dark academia book all at once, pure yet organised chaos that builds up so so so so so slowly.

Will I pick up book two? I don’t know, I do want to find out what happens, but not sure if I can put myself through that again. I guess I will just read spoilers.

3 stars for me.
