I feel as though I’m along for the ride reading these books simply so I can see the end. The world that’s been created is genius and the politic dynamics, shifting allegiances, keep me guessing as I’m reading. All great things. But there is just something so detached about a male narrator for me when I’m reading. I just can’t connect with it. It’s my own preference, my own cross to bear. I will be reading the third book because I’m not a quitter and I have to know how things conclude.
