Dearest Clementine

This story had everything I wanted: characters easy to love, a bit of mystery and suspense, a whole lot of sweet and plenty of heat. Clementine is kind of grumpy but it’s her defense mechanism and it works for her. After some really bad luck with guys, she just wants to focus on school and her career. Her first love cheated and then her trusted mentor turned into a creepy stalker. Her mother blamed and shamed Clementine for the awful men in her life while her twin brother is still BFFs with the guy who cheated on Clementine. With. Her. Best. Friend.
It's easy to see why she doesn’t like her family and isn’t interested in men or dating right now. Who could blame her? Gavin knows enough about her to NOT make a move, but he makes himself an invaluable friend when she needs it most. He’s kind and patient and puts her first, which nobody ever does for Clem. I loved everything about this book and don’t understand why this series isn’t more popular. I mean, how am I just discovering it NOW when this book was released in 2014? I grabbed the other two books in this series right away upon finishing this one and can’t wait to read them.
