I don't think I was in the right frame of mind to read this. Typically a multiple narrator story, some set back in time and a familial connection would be right up my alley. But for some reason I just couldn't get into this book. Maybe because I felt like it was longer than it needed to be? Or maybe because I like reading about strong females and it was difficult at times to read what these women had to go through. Either way, it just wasn't my favorite of this year.
